FINANCIAL LITERACY IS NOT TAUGHT IN MOST ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS - WHY?

Financial literacy is not taught in most elementary schools - why?

It is quite clear why it isn't.

It is considered to be a subject that is the responsibility of parents - not schools.

By and large money is not a subject of discussion by most parents.

So who is minding the store?

It is a cultural socio/economic taboo. Imagine a child coming home and saying that he or she learned in school that their parents did not have their financial house in order.
